Features
-
The main feature of SkypePro was that it let the user make free calls nationwide in the United States and Canada. In addition, it offered services in 28 foreign countries which allowed subscribers to make free landline calls with a small connection fee.
Program Termination
-
The SkypePro service was no longer offered after April 21, 2008. At that time, current subscribers were allowed to continue using the service until their contract expired.

Replacement Program
-
As a replacement to SkypePro, the company began offering monthly subscriptions that allow subscribers the same benefits that were offered with the SkypePro service. Now, users have the option of purchasing a monthly plan that either applies to both landlines and mobile phones or landlines only. Fees for the service vary according to the country in which you register.
Monthly Subscriptions
-
In lieu of the terminated SkypePro service, monthly subscriptions offer three choices: unlimited U.S. and Canada, which allows nationwide calls between cities in the two countries; North America, which allows unlimited calling in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico; and worldwide, which allows free international calling in 40 countries. No connection fees apply to any of the monthly subscription packages.
