How to Gain Strength Quickly Through Weight Lifting
Weight lifting is one common exercise method to increase strength. However, you get stronger during the recovery period between training sessions, not during the training. You can use dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, or sandbags as effective tools for weight lifting to gain strength.

Types
-
Vertical strength is moving in a straight line that goes in the same direction as gravity is pulling. The resistance is constant in nearly all exercises. Many traditional weight machines, dumbbells and barbells trains vertical strength. Circular strength is a non-linear movement in which the resistance changes throughout the range of motion. Kettlebells, clubbells and sandbags train this strength type.
Supersets
-
Supersetting is performing two exercises consecutively without rest between sets, allowing one muscle group to work while its opposing group rests. You can do pushing and pulling exercises in a superset, or you can do a lower-body exercise with an upper-body exercise. This method saves your workout time and increases your strength faster than doing one exercise at a time with rest periods in between.

Full-body Movements
-
Training the entire body instead of training individual muscle groups helps large muscles grow quickly. This method also strengthens your core and all muscle groups at once. Exercises include dumbbell squat presses and kettlebell swings.
