Whether you should tip the hairdresser and makeup stylist you use for your wedding depends upon where they performed their services and if they did exceptional work for you.

Salon

When you get your hair done in a salon, no matter what the occasion, it's customary to tip the hairdresser and makeup artist 15 percent to 20 percent of the cost of the service.

On-Site

Stylists who come to your home or the wedding site don't require a tip since the fee for their services is outlined in their contract. But if they go above and beyond the call of duty---such as repairing a fashion emergency---tip them 15 to 20 percent.

Attendants

If the attendants get their hair and makeup done at a salon, each attendant should tip their hairdresser and makeup artist. They don't have to tip stylists who have been contracted for their services unless they want to.
