Buy delicious Lambrusco wine.

Lambrusco wine is a sparkling red wine which saw its heyday in the 1970s. It can still be enjoyed today. All you need to do is determine which type of Lambrusco wine is best for you. Once decided, there are several ways to buy the wine. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Sweet or Dry?

    • Like most wines, Lambrusco comes in two basic varieties, sweet or dry. Sweet wines are those which have had sugar added during fermentation and taste sweeter. Dry wines have not had any sugar added and are sharper in taste.

    Which Wine to Buy?

    • Lambrusco is slightly different from other wines. For example, there is only one Pinot Noir grape. Lambrusco however, is composed of several types of grapes. As a result, finding out which Lambrusco you like best will be trial and error. Taste a few bottles and make a note of the ones you like best.

    Making Your Internet Purchase

    • There are many websites available for buying wine online. Despite some misconceptions, nowadays making purchases over the Internet is both simple and safe. Most websites will simply ask for your name, address and credit card details. Some might ask you to set up an account with them. This will probably require a small amount of additional information and will save time on future orders.

    Buying in a Restaurant

    • Buying Lambrusco in a restaurant is no different from ordering any other wine. However, try to make sure that the Lambrusco you buy is actually from Italy. (Most wine lists in restaurants will identify the country of origin.) This is to avoid buying a wine which says it is Lambrusco, but is in reality merely a sparkling wine with the Lambrusco label. Following a price range of $10 and upwards per bottle is recommended.

    Buying from a Store

    • Buying Lambrusco from a store is similar. Try to make sure the wine is from Italy (ask the store assistants if you are unsure) and try to keep within a price range of $10 and up.
