Qualifications

Most states require a plumber to be licensed, which requires training or certification. Highlighting licensing, as well as any related certifications and training at the top of a plumber's resume, will attract employers.

Professional Experience

All related work experience should be included on a resume, including apprenticeship programs which often require on-the-job training. Plumbers can also include any related construction experience, because most plumbers are required to have some of this experience to properly perform the duties of the job.

Considerations

Plumbers should include professional references from previous employers. References who speak highly of work experience will increase employment opportunities.
