Internet Protocol Television (IP TV) is a subscription that you buy for your television that delivers a broadband connection to your household with which to watch your programs.

    • You must have a television, a subscription to IP and an IP TV set-top box. You can buy the service with other bundles, like digital phone and video on demand.

    • The service records multiple broadcast at once through digital video recorders. It has picture-in-picture to watch two programs at once.

    History

    • IP TV was first used in 1994 by ABC's World News Now. It was the first television show to broadcast over the Internet. In 1998 Internet Radio Company did their first live webcast continuously.
