Hydrogen generators produce alternative fuel.

Hydrogen generators are used in internal combustion engines to produce fuel from water. Used mostly in cars and trucks, hydrogen generators improve engine performance, decrease emissions and increase gas mileage. Hydrogen generators are also used in industrial engines.

  1. How It Works

    • Hydrogen generators break water down to its basic elements, hydrogen and oxygen, and then, using a small amount of the car or truck's electricity, infuses the resulting hydrogen and oxygen gases into the engine's intake system. Fossil fuels inside the engine are displaced by the hydrogen and oxygen, resulting in the improvements mentioned earlier.

    Power

    • As little electrical power as 1.5 direct current (DC) and one amp of current is required to make a hydrogen generator work. A hydrogen generator can hold a charge of 1.5 to 2.0 volts DC.

    Emissions

    • Hydrogen generator-produced fuel burns clean exhaust by lowering harmful emissions to almost zero. By generating enough heat to keep the water in vapor form, water will not condense until it is outside of the engine, thus eliminating engine corrosion which causes harmful emissions.
