LED Light for Acne & Wrinkles

LED Light for Acne & Wrinkles thumbnail
Don't let acne mar a great smile.

LED (limited-emitted diode) light for wrinkles and acne is a viable skin care option. Devices with LED bulbs that emit ultraviolet light to improve skin are generally referred to as LED devices. While home LED devices offer limited benefits, there are stronger LED devices approved for use only by doctors. While LED light has its benefits, be sure to only use FDA-approved devices. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Home Devices

    • The simple LED light devices for home use will have no effect on wrinkles or old acne scars. These devices should be used for recent skin injuries.

    Clinical Devices

    • According to Heelspurs.com, an FDA-approved device called the Titan, which is not available for home use, uses strong infrared light to tighten the skin. The device is only for use in a medical setting.

    Benefits

    • Unlike facial scrubs, LED light treatment is non-abrasive. And unlike chemical peels for the skin, there is no downtime after treatment. LED light purportedly causes your skin cells to rejuvenate.

    Warning

    • You should only use an FDA-approved LED light treatment. Some treatments are still experimental.
