Chemical Peels
-
Chemical peels utilize a chemical medium to slough off the top layers of the epidermis. Chemical peels remove minor wrinkles and improve the appearance of deep-set wrinkles. They also help remove blemishes and hyper-pigmentation associated with aging skin. Alpha hydroxy acids, such as lactic and glycolic acid, are the milder acids used in chemical peels. Trichloroacetic acid is more powerful and concentrated. These acids occasionally can be used in chemical peels to treat stubborn wrinkles.
Facial Exfoliant
-
Exfoliants are cleansers that are laced with synthetic or natural bits that remove layers of dead skin cells. Exfoliants improve skin texture and jump-start the production of collagen fibers. Collagen is the building fiber of the skin. Stimulating the production of collagen will help fill in wrinkles and fine lines.

Moisturizer
-
Increasing moisture levels on the surface of the skin will help alleviate skin wrinkles and help deter their formation. Check if the moisturizer has anti-aging elements in it. Choose a moisturizer that contains beeswax, aloe vera or alpha lipoic acid. These moisturizing agents will replenish sebum levels that tend to diminish as the skin ages.
