What is the Difference Between Mouthwash & Mouth Rinse?

Use both mouthwash and mouth rinse for a healthy mouth.

Oral hygiene is very important in the maintenance of the teeth. Brushing and flossing the teeth are essential to maintaining their health. However, these two options sometimes miss killing all the germs in the mouth. It is important to use a germ killing liquid to attack these germs. They may hide between the crevices where normal brushing or flossing miss.

Mouthwash

Mouthwash normally gives a burning sensation in the mouth due to the amount of alcohol in the liquid. Mouthwash is kept in the mouth for at least 60 seconds after your done brushing your teeth with toothpaste. This will kill any remaining germs.

Mouth Rinse

Mouth rinse helps control bad breath in addition to helping to prevent a buildup of plaque on the teeth. Mouth rinse is normally swished in the mouth for at least 60 seconds prior to brushing and flossing.

Mouthwash or Mouth Rinse

The primary difference between mouthwash and mouth rinse is that one is used before brushing and the other is used after brushing as indicated on the instructions printed on the back of each product.
