How ot Install the HP 6200 Printer Without the CD

The HP Officejet 6200 series is an all-in-one printer. The printer can be installed on most Windows operating systems, including Windows 7. If you don't have an installation CD, the driver and software may be obtained online.

Connecting the Printer

Connect the printer to the computer using the USB printer cable. Plug the printer into the power outlet. Install the printer's ink cartridges and place paper in the paper tray before installing the driver and software. After the necessary software is installed, the printer will be tested.

Finding the Driver & Software

Go to HP.com and click on the "Support & Drivers" section. Enter "HP Officejet 6200" into the search field. Click on the "HP 6210" option (this option uses the same software and drivers). The driver and software will be displayed.

Downloading the Driver & Software

Select the computer's operating system from the list provided (Windows 7, for example). Select "Driver" to un-collapse driver installation options. Click on the option to start downloading the necessary driver. If software is available for your operating system, the driver and software may be downloaded together.
