Roommate Rental Agreements

A rental agreement will have each party's signature to valid the contract.

A roommate rental agreement is a useful contract established between those living in the same dorm, apartment or rental house. It gives the roommates and opportunity to set some guidelines on their living arrangement.

Tenants

A roommate rental agreement will list the the names of the tenants and the residence address and number. The contract will list the time period for the lease agreement as well as the rent amount and security deposit.

Guidelines

The roommate rental agreement will list what portion of the utilities and phone bills each tenant will pay. There will also be room in the agreement to give guidelines on how the roommates will handle cleaning responsibilities, guests, privacy and sharing personal items.

Signatures

The rental agreement will have each party's signature to valid the contract. Each party will also date the document. Signing the contract demonstrates that each roommate feels the agreement is ideal for all those involved.
