Bicycle Maintenance Training

All bikes will need service sooner or later.

Bike maintenance is a fundamental part of bike ownership since every bike needs it. Whether a person wants to work on bicycles professionally or just build a deeper understanding of the machines, training programs can build that knowledge.

USA Cycling

Based in Colorado, USA Cycling is the national governing body for bike racing. It offers resources for bike mechanics as well as certifications for mechanics of different categories for serving on race teams.

United Bicycle Institute

UBI is located in Oregon and offers advanced facilities which share resources with United Bicycle Tool Supply, the largest supplier of wholesale bicycle tools in the industry. The school has been operating since 1981 and offers a variety of classes and certifications.

Barnett Bicycle Institute

Located in Colorado, BBI offers a complete range of classes including certifications. It was founded by John Barnett, who has been teaching bike mechanics since 1980 and working in the bike industry since 1973.
