The Presario X1000 model notebook computer was launched by Compaq in 2003. To find the model number of your notebook, turn it upside down and locate it stamped on the label.

  1. Physical Specifications

    • The X1000 range has a 15.4-inch, widescreen TFT XGA+ with up to 16.8 million colors. It is equipped with a 40 to 80 GB hard drive, depending on the model, and a Pentium III processor.

    Optical

    • The X1000 has a CD-RW drive that can both play and write to CDs. Some other range models have a DVD/CD-RW drive that is able to play and write to CDs as well as play DVDs. The more basic models have a DVD-ROM drive, which can only play DVDs and CDs, or just a CD-ROM drive.

    Power

    • Input is between 100 and 240 volts, input current is 1.7 amps, and the frequency is 47 to 63 hertz. The battery is an eight-cell Li-Ion pack fitted to a compartment on the underside. The recharge is between two and five hours, depending whether the system is powered off or being used.
