About Microsoft Interactive Training
Microsoft Interactive Training was formerly known as Microsoft eLearning Library (MELL). Now it is known as Microsoft E-Learning. It is Microsoft's online portal for users to learn about how to use Microsoft products at a range of different levels, from beginners to seasoned IT professionals.

New Users
-
Microsoft offers the Digital Literacy Curriculum for new users. It is designed for users who have no real experience with computers and teaches basic computing skills such as creating an email account, using a search engine, social networking or using Microsoft Word to write a letter.
Students and Universities
-
Microsoft offers e-learning options for students who want to study IT and whose university or college does not offer any formal coursework on Microsoft technologies. The Microsoft IT Academy Student Pass allows students to take 12 to 22 hours of free coursework online. Universities also can subscribe to the Microsoft IT Academy, but only if they are accredited and offer formal classes in Microsoft technologies in areas such as database development, Windows Server or other software development.

Businesses and Professionals
-
Businesses who want training in Microsoft products can buy training online or in person through the E-Learning website. Volume licensing is available if needed. Individual IT personnel can also buy study plans and prepare for Microsoft certification exams, which many consider an important part of professional development and a way to demonstrate continuing education.
