About Bright Aluminum Jump Rings
Bright aluminum jump rings are metal rings made from anodized aluminum used primarily in the production of chain maille jewelry. These aluminum rings come in variety of colors and sizes, are lightweight and have a very hard coating that holds up well to wear.

Production
-
Commonly, bright aluminum jump rings are made of 18 grams of aluminum with an inner diameter of 5 mm. Most bright aluminum jump rings have been precision saw cut with a 0.008 inch blade for an ultimately smooth flush cut; machine-cut rings are often necessary for unique ring sizes. After they are cut, rings are tumbled and shined, then tumbled again to produce a mirror shine.
Sizes & Quantity
-
Aluminum jump rings come in a variety of sizes to allow versatility during production. Although rare sizes may be custom ordered, the sizes most widely available are between 3.5 mm and 7 mm. Quantity varies depending on vendor, however, most aluminum jump rings come in bundles of 50 to 2,000.

Colors
-
Bright aluminum jump rings are dyed separately after they are cut, which helps the color completely cover the ring. Unfortunately, this means different sizes of the same color may not match exactly due to different dye times; and that actual colors may differ from batch to batch. Certain batches may also contain "in-between" variations of the desired color and may contain various quantities of each color.
