Probate Inventory of Assets

Probate Inventory of Assets thumbnail
File your inventory of assets before the court hearing.

Entrusted with the preservation and distribution of an estate, probate courts require an inventory of assets form filed on pending probate cases.

  1. Inventory of Assets

    • All states require an inventory of assets form completed and submitted in a probate case concerning wills and conservatorships. This allows the court to know what assets are in the estate before will distribution and preserve assets and prevent waste of assets.

    Non-Cash Items

    • Include non-cash items on the asset inventory. Some of these include real property, art collections, jewelry and automobiles.

    Cash

    • Include the current balance of all checking accounts, saving accounts, certificate of deposits, stock accounts, and IRAs in your inventory.
