Generally, the capacity of the spa is listed in the unit specifications in the spa owner's manual. This can also be found through the manufacturing company online. Finding this information requires the model number of the unit.
Measuring Fill Time

If you know how much water is going into the Jacuzzi per minute, you can determine the capacity by measuring how long it takes to fill. First, measure how long it takes to fill one gallon. Now, fill the hot tub to its normal level. Divide the total time by the time it took to fill one gallon and you arrive at the number of gallons in the Jacuzzi.

Calculate by Dimensions

Because Jacuzzi's are irregularly shaped internally, the easiest way to calculate capacity by shape is to use the outside dimensions of unit. Measure the width, length, and depth of the unit, and multiply them together. Divide by 1728, and multiply the result by 2.4. The result is the gallon capacity of your Jacuzzi.
