Compaq PP2150 is a laptop model in the Compaq Evo notebook series 1020v. In 2001, Compact retired the Deskpro, Armada and Professional Workstation computers and launched the Evo Notebook. The Evo, short for evolution, was designed to compete in the computer industry as computers were moving from simply personal computers to full-service access devices. The 1020v Evo series was launched in 2002.

Dimensions and Environmental Specs

The Notebook dimensions are 1.55 inches thick, 12.89 inches wide and 10.53 inches deep. It weighs 6.82 pounds. The operating temperature range is 50 to 90 degrees. Non-operating temperature is 14 to 140 degrees.

Processor

The original laptop processor is Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.0 gigahertz. with 256 megabytes of standard RAM. Maximum RAM is 1 gigabyte. The preinstalled operating system is Windows XP. The Notebook comes with an Ethernet port.

AC Adapter

The AC adapter output is 18.5 volts, 90 watts and 4.9 amps. The Input is 100 to 240 volts and 1.7 amps. A 65-watt DC power adapter is available to plug into an automobile cigarette lighter socket.

The computer has an IDE DVD-ROM drive. The CD drive reads at 3600 KB/s 8X DVD reads at 10800 KB/s. It has a 1.44MB floppy disk.

The computer has a 14.1-inch screen size with a carbon finish. The display resolution is 1024 by 768. The screen includes internal side-mounted supports.

The computer came with a 40GB IDE internal hard drive that spins at 4,200 revolutions per minute. Specifications for an external 2.5-inch hard drive enclosure include USB 2.0/eSATA PC interface. The laptop comes with 512MB, PC2100 266Mhz, DDR SDRAM.
