Triple AAA Campground Information

AAA annual rates campgrounds.

AAA regularly lists up to 11,000 campgrounds across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. An annual CampBook rates approximately 5,000 of these sites on criteria such as facilities, management, and general appeal. The sites are rated one (lowest) to three (highest).

Level One

Campgrounds rated level one by AAA offer basic facilities ideal for budget travelers. These rustic campsites have modest natural environments.

Level Two

Level two campgrounds are secluded and offer opportunities for social interaction with other campers through recreational activities. They also include facilities, such as a laundry room or general store, which offer a higher level of convenience and comfort

Level Three

Level three campgrounds offer the best camping locations with access to mountains, lakes or streams. These sites have recreational and general service facilities, and provide amenities like hot water showers.
