Historic Alaskan Rail Line Post Cruise

Alaskan cruise passengers disembarking at either Seward or Whittier at the end of their voyage can enjoy more of the largest state in the union's amazing scenery by joining a "Cruise Connections" tour operated by the historic Alaskan Railroad.

Seward

The Seward Cruise Connections tour lasts five days, and highlights include a six hour Kenai Fjord cruise, a wilderness jetboat adventure at Talkeenta, a wilderness tour of Denali National Park and an optional flight to see Mount McKinley. All travel is by train and tour participants can choose to end their trip at either Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Whittier

The Whittier Cruise Connections five day trip is similar to the Seward itinerary with the exception of the first day when passengers joining at Whittier visit Spencer Glacier. Once again passengers can end the tour in either Anchorage or Fairbanks.

Prices

As of 2010 the Seward itinerary costs $1,769 in peak season and $1,689 in May and September. This applies to tours ending in Anchorage. The cost for people choosing to finish in Fairbanks is $1,635 (Peak), and $1,569 (May and September)
