Job Description of a Restaurant Executive Assistant
A restaurant executive assistant position requires well-tuned multitasking skills. It includes not only the normal duties of an executive assistant, including handling the paperwork that the industry demands, but also a basic knowledge of how the restaurant industry works.

The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent writing and computer skills. She must be a quick thinker with a good imagination to assist in coming up with new menu concepts. This person may be required to work some weekend or off hours if menu or promotional changes need to be made. A restaurant executive assistant reports directly to the restaurant manager or owner and may actually take charge in her boss's absence.

A restaurant executive assistant must have a hands-on attitude. Additional duties of restaurant executive assistant include laying out new menus, preparing profit/loss reports for the restaurant manager, assisting in promoting the outlet with mailings, email and fliers, and scheduling staff training and tastings. Programming menu items into a point-of-sale system and printing daily specials may also be required.
