Description

Gold coin grass is a green leafy plant that the Chinese have used as a medicinal herb for hundreds of years. The herb is relatively mild in taste with a straw-clover type odor.

Treatment

Taking gold coin grass before a flushing procedure may be an alternative to surgery for removal of gallstones. This Chinese herbal tincture crushes and softens the gallstones. According to Chang, the process is extremely slow, but many people become pain-free within a few days after taking gold coin grass.

Warning

Although no adverse side effects have been reported with gold coin grass, any herb can cause an allergic reaction. People who react to plant-based foods (such as whole grains, legumes, soy products, and nuts and seeds) are more likely react to herbs. Additionally, potential interactions with prescription drugs should be discussed with a physician.
