Career Pathways is designed to given children a head start on their ideal careers.

Career Pathways is a program designed to get students prepared early for a career that interests them. With the help of presentations, planners and brochures, children choose a career from "clusters," or career fields, and go through three different levels.

  1. Career Clusters

    • Career Pathways helps kids choose one of four broad professional fields, called "Career Clusters," that suits and interests them. These are broad professional fields: arts and the humanities, business and communication, engineering and industrial, and health and human services.

    First Level

    • The first level consists of a Middle School Planner, which is filled out in the students' classroom. This is designed to help students find out about themselves and locate career areas that appeal to them.

    Second Level

    • The second level of Career Pathways is a re-examination regarding the student's interests, after which he is guided toward a career cluster based on his answers.

    Third Level

    • The third level is the last level of the Career Pathways program. Starting with another re-examination, the student is given "a definitive pathway" to the career and education of her choosing.
