Accessibility coordinators ensure that a business, organization, structure or event is accessible to people with disabilities. One way that accessibility coordinators accomplish this is by ensuring compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, or ADA.

Accessibility coordinators develop and manage ADA programs. They also create budgets for disability programs; examine existing products, programs and structures for ADA compliance; and educate employees on relevant disability issues encountered in the workplace.
Education and Skills

Accessibility coordinators should possess at least a bachelor's degree, along with several years of related experience. Accessibility coordinators, sometimes known as ADA coordinators, must possess excellent interpersonal skills, expertise in all aspects of the ADA and a passion for aiding and advancing those with disabilities.
