The black moor fish is a breed of telescope goldfish. Black moors are native to Asia and live in communities with other goldfish. They make a great first fish for fish hobbyists because they are easy to care for.

Description

The black moor goldfish has a black velvet color and bubbly eyes.

Size

Black moor goldfish can grow up to 10 inches in length.

Habitat

Black moor goldfish should be kept in water that is 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit; however, they prefer cooler temperatures. If the water is too warm, an orange color will begin show on their black bodies.

Behavior

Black moor goldfish should be kept with other goldfish and not with competitive fish. They are community fish, and including the celestial goldfish and the telescope goldfish in the tank can create a very well-balanced community. These three species of goldfish cannot see well, and they will live peacefully together scavenging from the bottom of the tank.

Life Expectancy

The life expectancy of the black moor goldfish is five to 10 years.
