  1. Values

    • The company's values, which are often stated in the company's mission statement, should be a primary focus of the leadership team. Often, leaders who lead by example earn exceptional results from their staff.

    Vision

    • The leadership team should encourage and motivate employees to share the company's vision through communication. Showing a company vision to employees through autocratic or dictator models is one example of leadership behavior that frequently damages the morale of personnel.

    Goals

    • Many company mission statements encourage diversity and flexibility by management to recruit and retain exceptional staff. A leader's ability to train, delegate to and reward staff can keep them motivated to reach company goals.
