Volunteer Agency Liaison Job Description
Volunteer agency liaisons work for the state or federal government and provide resources for volunteer agencies in times of crisis or need. Liaisons made in between $36 and $40 an hour in 2007.

Education and Training

Most agency liaisons obtain at least a master's degree in a specialized field. Many continue to obtain doctorate degrees. On-the-job training is provided.
Skills

Volunteer agency liaisons must have excellent communications skills, have the ability to multitask, have the ability to work under little or no supervision and have the ability to work under intense pressure.

Duties

Duties include coordinating volunteer groups, communicating information between government groups and volunteer groups, assessing community needs, acting as a consultant regarding donations and supporting efforts to develop long-term strategies.
Working Conditions

Volunteer agency liaisons spend most of the day working on job sites, working in offices and traveling to meetings. These candidates must be comfortable changing work environments regularly and standing or sitting for long hours.
