Job Description of a Channel Sales Manager

Channel sales is the means by which an organization sells products or services directly to a specific market and customer, or indirectly through a retail or distribution organization. A channel sales manager administers the sales activities for one of these sectors.

These professionals should possess excellent time management skills, the ability to use computers for data and scheduling management, be creative, as well as possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills to successfully motivate staff and present information to customers.

    Duties

    • These professionals direct the activities of channel sales representatives, and assist them on improving their sales techniques. This includes analyzing sales statistics and ensuring organizational sales goals are met on a continual basis. Most of these managers also sell products and services along with their sales staff.

    Salary
