Specifications of a Dell 5100
As of July 2010, the Dell Dimension 5100--a desktop from Dell Inc.--is no longer in production. As far back as 2005, when it was released, the Dimension 5100 represented the business-oriented entry in the company's entry-level desktop series.

All Dell Dimension 5100 computers ran on Intel Pentium 4, 5 or 6 microprocessors. Most of them had hyper-threading technology, which was implemented to improve the quality of the computers' multitasking.
Memory and Drives

The memory--with four connectors and 400-MHz or 533-MHz DDR2 unbuffered SDRAM architecture--had capacities of 256 MB, 512 MB and 1 GB, with the option to max it up to 4 GB. The hard drive had up to 250GB capacity, and a CD burner/DVD combo drive was included.

Audio and Video

The graphics and sound cards of the Dell Dimension 5100 were integrated. Intel provided the Graphics Media Accelerator 950, and SigmaTel offered the STAC9220.
Connectors

The connectors of the Dell Dimension 5100 included: seven USB 2.0 inputs (two in the front and five in the back); RJ-45 connector for computer networking; and line-in/line-out, microphone and headphone jacks.
Physical Characteristics

With a weight of 32 lbs., the Dell Dimension 5100 was around 16 inches in height, 19 inches in width and 18 inches in thickness.
