ARC Cancer Treatment
ARC is an acronym for "Aftercare Research Counselling." ARC is a registered charity that was founded in 1994. Situated in Dublin, Ireland, the ARC Centre provides care and support for cancer patients and their families.

There are currently two ARC centres, the first was founded in 1994, and is situated in the heart of Dublin. Work on a second ARC centre was completed at the end of 2002. The second centre is situated in Cork, Ireland.
Treatments and Therapies

The treatments available at ARC are not designed to cure cancer but to support the patient during conventional treatment. Therapies include reflexology, therapeutic massage, yoga and a variety of relaxation aids.

Other services consist of drop-in areas—which patients are free to use without making an appointment—cancer counseling and meditation sessions.

There are a variety of courses from which to choose, including stress management, cancer-specific workshops, a natural beauty workshop and creativity courses.

Funding

Funding for ARC is provided by the UK Health and Safety Executive and charitable donations. The ARC centres also organize a number of sponsored activities and events to raise funds.
