Nail techs working in hotel and recreation resort salons (such as those in golf courses and ski resorts) made the most in 2009. Manicurists and pedicurist working in these industries reported mean hourly wages exceeding $13 an hour.
Salary Trends

The bureau experts say that between 2008 and 2009, nail techs on average saw a modest salary increase of about 1 percent.
