According to WyomingCarbonCounty.com, common species available for hunting in Rawlins include moose, elk, pronghorn antelope, mule deer, white-tailed deer, big horn sheep, blue grouse, wild turkey, mountain lion and black bear.
Hunting Hot Spots

Located near the city of Rawlins and managed by Wyoming's Game and Fish Department, hunting areas include Hanna Draw, Missouri John, Simpson Ridge and Beer Mug Management Areas, which are all east of the city and open to hunters as of 2010.

The most popular fish caught in the Rawlins area include walleye and rainbow, cutthroat and brown trout.
Fishing Hot Spots

Seminoe and High Savery Reservoirs are popular fishing holes in the Rawlins area, as well as the North Platte River, which has been named a “blue ribbon trout stream” by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department. The seven-mile stretch of the river adjacent to the Seminoe Reservoir is known as the “magnificent mile” for its trout fishing.
