Anti-Virus Analysis
Anti-virus analysis can pertain to a multitude of computer software programs. The purpose of anti-virus analysis is to prevent harmful data from attacking a computer's hardware or from trying to steal personal information from computers.

Programs
-
Protect personal information with an anti-virus program. There are many types of anti-virus analysis programs available for computers. The main purpose of all programs is to prevent a computer from getting a virus. Read reviews and research all available programs before purchasing one.
Scan
-
Virus scans detect possible threats. Anti-virus programs scan the computer and look for any deviant, hidden or malicious files that may threaten the integrity of the computer. Two kinds of scans exist on most programs. The first is a quick scan and the second is a comprehensive scan. Quick scans only check the most vital central processing unit areas for threats, while a comprehensive scan checks the whole system.

Windows
-
Most PCs have preinstalled anti-virus software. If the computer in question has a version of Windows preinstalled, then the computer already has anti-virus protection. Just make sure to activate it immediately to avoid contracting a virus. The option is available in the control panel or under programs. Just look for Windows Defender. Make sure to purchase a better anti-virus program, as Defender is just a basic model.
Warning
-
Anti-virus software is needed to protect identities and the computer. If the personal computer being used does not have any anti-virus software, it is recommended to purchase a program immediately. Further, it is not recommended to download any free anti-virus program from the Internet unless it is the official website of the program creator. Some sites are set up to send the PC a virus instead of anti-virus software.
Threat levels
-
Threats are given a severity level. Virus scans detect different Trojans or virus threat levels. The levels range from low to high. Low risk may do limited harm to a computer, while high risk threats could ruin the computer.
PC Security
-
Adjust security settings for optimal performance. An easy way to detect if the website being logged onto is safe is to look at the toolbar, as it indicates trusted and not trusted sites. Put the PC security on medium to medium-high level to prevent an infection from occurring. Disenable cookies, as they are a form of tracking a PCs history and may be a potential threat.
