What Is the Virus Java/Classloader.AP Trojan?
Java/Classloader.AP, more commonly referred to as Java/ClassLoader.Z.trojan, is not a virus but rather a trojan horse that allows an outside attacker to hijack a computer system.

Infection of the Java/Classloader.AP trojan horse occurs after a user downloads an unverified computer program. Clicking on gambling or pornography website links can also cause an infection.
Variants

Besides Trojan ClassLoader.Z, Java/Classloader.AP can be disguised with names such as Java.ClassLoader.Dummy with endings a-e, ClassLoader.D.Trojan, ClassLoader.U.Trojan, ClassLoader.AO.Trojan, and ClassLoader.I.Trojan.

Symptoms

A computer infected with the Java/Classloader.AP trojan horse will have symptoms including missing icons, Windows error beeps coming from the CPU, spontaneous restarts, numerous pop-up advertisements, corrupt registry files, hijacked wallpaper and a slow Internet connection.
Attacks

Java/Classloader.AP allows an attacker to obtain credit card information, passwords and usernames. Keystrokes can be logged and changes can be made to the system's registry.
Antivirus

Antivirus software such as Symantec, RegCure, Avast and McAfee can detect Java/Classloader.AP and remove the threat.
