What Are the Dangers of Noxzema?
Noxema is one of the oldest and trusted skin care products around. But these days, few commercial products are completely free of harmful chemicals.

No EWG Rating?
-
The Environmental Working Group, or EWG, has compiled a database (called Skindeep) of products and rated them on toxicity levels. Despite the fact that Noxema is one of the oldest brands in skin care, the EWG has no rating for it, when thousands of other brands are included. This could raise concern.
Four Toxic Chemicals
-
Blissplan.com provides a database of "safe" and "green" products, and states that despite the fact that Noxema has only 10 ingredients, four of them are toxic, including: stearic acid, "fragrance" (which could mean any of 400 chemicals), Ammonium Hydroxide and Propylene Glycol, both known carcinogens.

Pick the Lesser of Evils
-
Ultimately, there are risks associated with most products. Noxema has its good name and loyal users, few ingredients (the fewer the better) and fewer toxic chemicals than many products of its kind.
