Heat, noise and high winds are causes of concern for homeowners in Florida. If you're remodeling or building a home in Florida, consider whether using aluminum or vinyl window frames is the better option.

Thermal Conductivity

Aluminum is metal, so it conducts heat and cold better than vinyl, which is a type of plastic. Vinyl allows more heat into the home during hot Florida summers.
