      How to Become Certified

      • Eligibility requirements to become a CNOR include RN licensure (BSN is optional) plus 2 years and 2400 hours experience in the OR. Applications are submitted to the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI), and the RN must pass a written examination on perioperative nursing practice. Certification is good for five years.
