Girls' Scene Hairstyles

Being part of the scene is where it's at these days and having the right hair is important. Scene hair is based on simple cuts and individual touches of style. Bursts of color streaked or chunked onto natural haircolor and bright accessories add signature to each style.

Braids

The hair is parted on the side, in an angle across the head or slightly off center, and braided down each side of the head. Ribbons or colorful clips are sometimes used to secure the braids.

Deep Side Part

Long or medium hair is parted on the far left or right of the head and brushed straight down. Straightening irons are used to keep hair flat, and hair spray holds the style in place.

Wet Curls

Medium length hair is layered and permed into loose curls. Styling gel is applied from root to tip and allowed to dry without combing or brushing.

Side Bangs

Long bangs are cut into the front of the hair and swept to the side. Clips are sometimes used to hold bangs in place.

Colored Bangs

A basic scene look includes cutting bangs around the face and coloring them a contrasting color. White or bright yellows are common colors used against black and brown hair.
