In baseball, the fielding team has nine players defending against one batter. In cricket, the defending team has 11 fielders and the team that is batting has two batsmen, one at each wicket.

If the ball is hit out of the cricket field on a fly, six runs are awarded. If it bounces or rolls out, only four runs are awarded.
