Albuquerque is the largest city in New Mexico.

New Mexico is the fifth largest state in the Unites States of American by landmass. Located in southwestern United States, New Mexico spans 121,598 miles. The population of New Mexico is diverse, predominantly comprised of Hispanic, Caucasian and Native American people. Visitors can select from a variety of events and activities throughout the year to experience all of these cultures.

    Geography

    • The Rio Grande River runs the entire length of New Mexico. The Elephante Butte Resevoir is New Mexico's largest lake. White Sands National Monument, located between Alamogordo and Las Cruces, is actually made of white gyps.

      The UFO Festival takes place in Roswell every summer. The world's largest hot air balloon festival takes place in Albuquerque every October. The worlds largest enchilada is made every first weekend of October in Las Cruces at the Whole Enchilada Festival.
