What Is a Penny Drive?
There's not much you can buy for a penny. Put enough pennies together, however, and your buying power rises. Many schools and other groups sponsor penny drives to raise money for charity.

Most banks have coin counters now, so you need only bring in the pennies in bags or containers to cash them in, though some banks may still require you to wrap the pennies in 50-cent wrappers.

It is important to let people at the school, office, religious institution or other place where you raised the money know the final total. Everyone will be pleased to see how much their spare pennies amounted to when they were all put into one pot.
