Intranet Sales Force Training
Many sales departments are adding an intranet site as part of their sales communication and productivity improvement strategy. An intranet is a private computer network and website that can only be accessed by approved users.
-
Training Overview
-
Intranet sales force training should include an overview of what the system is, how the system is used, and how and why it can benefit the sales force. Training can be delivered in person, on paper and/or virtually through e-learning technology.
What It Is
-
Sales participants should understand what the intranet is used for. Common uses include sharing current events, recognizing top performing employees, communicating sales department results and storing sales collateral and sales forms.
-
How To Use It
-
Navigate through the sales intranet. Sales participants should receive an overview of how to access and navigate the intranet site.
Why It Is Important
-
For sales representatives to adopt and use new technology, they must understand the value and the WIFM (what's in it for me?). Describe how the intranet can improve their efficiency, productivity and customer service.
Confidentiality
-
Intranets are designed to have restricted access for a reason. Explain to the sales force what intranet content is company confidential and what information can be shared with customers and the public.
