Job

Certified safety professionals working as senior environmental health and safety engineers and health safety managers have some of the highest salaries. In 2010, they have a respective median salary of $101,700 and $100,000, according to PayScale.com.

Industry

Certified safety professionals working in energy/utilities or chemical manufacturing have some of the higher salaries with median salaries of around $97,000, while those in environmental consulting generally have lower salaries around $75,000.
