According to Weather.com, the hottest day ever in Vancouver was in July 1907, when a temperature of 105 degrees was recorded. The coldest day on record was minus 10 degrees in December of 1919.

Tornado of 1972

On April 5, 1972, an unprecedented tornado hit Vancouver, killing six people and injuring more than 300. According to HistoryLink.org, it was the deadliest tornado in the United States that year.
