A stroke sander is a type of sanding tool, generally powered by electricity, used for sanding large, heavy items. A stroke sander may be referred to as production equipment, meaning that it is typically associated with industrial work.

    • A stroke sander is a stationary machine with a wide sanding belt used to smooth large surfaces. A stroke sander may be used to sand curved surfaces as well as flat surfaces.

    • A stroke sander may be used to smooth the surfaces of large wooden doors or panels. A stroke sander also may be used for weld removal.

    Features

    • A stroke sander features an abrasive belt and a movable plate underneath upon which the object to be sanded rests. The plate can be moved back and forth manually to evenly sand the entire surface.
