Why Credit Cards Come in Handy
Many people prefer to use cash because they don't want to go into credit card debt. However, almost all credit card companies will waive your interest if you pay off your balance within 30 days. Plus, credit cards offer conveniences that cash doesn't.
-
Replaceable
-
If you lose your wallet and there's a lot of cash in there, you have no means of recovering the lost cash. If you carry credit cards instead, you can simply report the card lost or stolen and the company will immediately cancel the card and reissue you another one.
Better Record-Keeping
-
Credit card companies issue a monthly statement that you can use to track your spending and plan your budget. Having your transactions on one statement is far easier than keeping receipts for every item you purchase.
-
Fuel Convenience
-
Almost all gas stations have credit card readers built into the pumps so that you can drive up, swipe your card and get gas without having to go inside.
Easier Bill Paying
-
Paying your bills with credit cards either online or over the phone is faster and easier than mailing in a check.
Warning
-
Using credit cards does leave you open to the possibility of identity theft. Monitor your accounts frequently and report any unauthorized charges immediately.
