MSN Hotmail Problems
MSN Hotmail provides a free service to members for sending and receiving email through customized email addresses. Services generally run without a hitch, but Hotmail can come back with error messages and display issues when a problem does occur.

Types
-
MSN Hotmail problems can be classified into "sign in," "send and receive" or "display" categories. Sign in problems can involve the user forgetting the password or typing the password incorrectly. Sending and receiving problems can involve using incorrect email addresses or attaching files that are too large. Display problems can involve the emails or inbox not loading.
Sign In Fixes
-
To fix sign in problems because of a forgotten password, click the "Forget your password?" link below the sign-in box. Login details will be sent to your registered backup email account. If you think you know the password but it is not working, check to see that your "Caps Lock" is not turned on. Try typing your password into a text box to ensure that it is correct. There may be a keyboard glitch causing the password to type incorrectly.

Send and Receive Fixes
-
Double-check email addresses to make sure the message is being sent to the correct person at the correct email box. Attachments added to a message cannot be larger than 10Mb or the email will not send. Remove large attachments or downsize as necessary.
Display Fixes
-
Check the Internet connection. If the connection is poor, there may not be enough data transfer available to display the inbox correctly.
Misconceptions
-
Diagnosing the source of the problem can be difficult for users. Poor Internet connections, browser settings and issues with MSN Hotmail may present similar symptoms.
