Personal organizers are professional declutterers, engaged by both individuals and businesses to assist them in cleaning and organizing their spaces. Additionally, these professionals may also work with clients to create money management systems. Most individuals who work in this industry do so as freelancers and independent contractors.

  1. Personal Spaces

    • Assisting clients in organizing spaces such as offices, closets and storage spaces, personal organizers eliminate waste, create filing systems and educate clients on simple ways to maintain tidiness.

    • The Board of Certification for Professional Organizers (BCPO) is a trade organization that administers a volunteer certification for these professionals. Certification is awarded after the successful completion of an examination.
