Skin tags are small, benign growths of skin that look exactly like their name suggests: a tag. They are attached at one end and flap. While they can indicate circulatory issues, generally skin tags are entirely harmless and not symptomatic of a larger health problem. However, they are generally viewed as cosmetically unpleasant, and they can be removed naturally, at home, with Castor oil and baking soda in most cases.

  1. Function

    • By mixing Castor oil and baking soda together, you are forming a paste that will suffocate the skin. You can hold the paste in place for longer by also covering the tag with a band aid.

    Time Frame

    • This treatment takes about 15 days. You need to apply the paste to the skin tag three times a day.

    Effects

    • You will not see any effects at first. After about a week, you may notice that the tag is brownish or shriveled.

    Considerations

    • Skin tags can indicate problems with circulation. They are common in people who have diabetes. Check with your doctor to make sure that your skin tags are not indicative of a larger health problem.

    Warning

    • Do not cut your skin tag off once it starts to look "sick." This type of "bathroom surgery" can result in serious infections. Just keep using the castor oil and baking soda until it falls off.
